2009 Christmas Project: Give the Gift of the Giving

Provide Comfort for Sick Children

Your support will fund the building out of a private patient room on the Cancer floor of Childrens Hospital Los Angeles’ New Hospital Building, which is set to open in 2010, serving children with Cancer and blood diseases for generations to come.

In order to accommodate the needs of young patients, their families, and clinical staff, patient rooms will be divided into three areas or “zones.”The clinical zone will house medical equipment and serve as the workspace for medical staff; the patient zone will encompass the child’s bed, television, desk, and comfort items; and the family zone will include storage space for personal items and a pullout bed to accommodate parents who wish to stay overnight.

How The Money Will Be Spent

The money from this wish will be used to build and maintain the patient room needed for the Cancer floor on the Childrens Hospital LA’s, New Hospital Building. Thank you so much for your support!

Jessica Biel’s weapon lessons

Jessica Biel says she’s having an “amazing” time learning to fire guns for The A-Team.

In a break from shooting the movie, the actress made time to step out for the Hollywood premiere of her new animated film Planet 51.

And, speaking on the red carpet, she revealed she’s been having quite a lot of fun with guns in recent weeks, saying: “I haven’t done a lot of M4 machine gun shooting in my life and I’m doing that now a lot, it’s amazing to understand how to run those weapons.”

Jessica plays Lt Carissa Sosa in the movie remake, the glamorous ex-lover of one of the members of the A-Team, who works for the Department of Defence.

The actress added she’d also been getting to grips with a “9mm Beretta”.

She laughed: “I know it’s a little hardcore but it’s what I’ve been doing, I’m getting to understand those weapons a little bit better, it’s always challenging.”
